Is web design still in demand in 2021?

I’ve always been really interested in web design. In fact, one of my first online businesses was a small web design studio that helped local clients get a basic web presence and start ranking on Google.

But a lot has changed since then, and many are wondering if we still need web designers in an age of free drag-and-drop WordPress page builders, cheap A/B-testing software, heat map insights, etc.

This is a massive topic about a huge industry that employs millions of people and so I want to treat it with a bit of caution and respect. I also want to avoid the ire of designers who are thoroughly sick of the old “Do I need a web designer?” debate.

Let’s jump in anyway.

Why people used to hire web designers

Go back in time 15+ years and you’ll see a very different Internet.

Many companies, for example, didn’t have websites and as they started to realize that business was going to be done online, scrambled to hire a web designer to build a beautiful site that was on-brand and helped customers.

In those days there wasn’t much in the way of free platforms and things like WordPress themes were very limited in terms of how you could customize features and design elements without also needing to know how to write and edit code.

Just take a look at Blogger in 1999…

So, you needed help.

And so a web designer would often build something from the absolute ground up. They’d get a brief, come up with a draft design, get feedback, and then cut and splice it all up and turn it into a functional website. They might then manage it for the client, making changes and edits over time.

That involved knowing how to use things like Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and then manage hosting environments, FTP uploading and so on and so forth.

It was a big job.

And then (as always) the technology improved

So what do web designers do today?

These days we’re seeing changes to almost every career in the world, and especially to those on the net.

Web designing is not immune to that and that’s meant freelancers and agencies had to expand or adapt to the technology such that, instead of just designing websites, they now do a whole host of tasks and services that expand well beyond their title might suggest.

If you hire a web designer or web design agency these day they might:

  • Set you up on a template or design a fresh site
While you might get a fully original design, it’s also possible that your designer will set you up on an existing template or theme. This will usually save you a bit of money and you can choose when you hire them.
  • Work on different branding elements
Your business might not just need a website but also a color scheme, logo, typography recommendations, and so on. Many agencies will encourage you to do all of this at once so you have a cohesive approach for your business.
  • Helping you with SEO and promotion
Another area that many web designers have expanded into is search engine optimization which could mean installing plugins like WordPress SEO, helping you with local listings, and then even creating content for PPC campaigns and other promotional activity.
  • Managing hosting, security and updates
Web designers also will often charge you an ongoing fee in order to keep your site safe, secure and up to date. That might mean just updating software, or it might mean managing things like your emails and any issues that arise with bounces and so on.
  • A fully managed solution
Some web designers (and often this is done in-house) will also offer a fully managed solution where they take care of your whole online presence or a specific campaign. This might mean designing the graphics, landing pages, websites, adverts, etc. and then implementing the strategy through advertising on Facebook and other platforms. They then watch the metrics to see whether it’s converting and recommend changes.

As you can see from all of this, the job of the web design has not completely vanished into irrelevance. In fact, there are many situations where it’s important to engage web designers in building your business.

10 Long Term Benefits Of Content Marketing For Your Business

Content marketing this day is undeniably taking precedence as the most preferred form of marketing.

90% of businesses are already using content marketing to generate inbound leads.

Many of your competitors would have shifted to content marketing and by now they might even be creating content on their success stories.

So, what is content marketing?

Content marketing is focused on creating, publishing, and distributing content for a targeted set audience across the web.

The importance of content marketing is that it is widely used by businesses to garner attention, generate leads, expand the customer base, and generate online sales.

You might have wondered what good can come your way if you shift to Content Marketing for your business!

Below are 30 benefits of content marketing that will explain why you should use this powerful marketing form to transform your business.

1. Increases your brand’s visibility online

Gone are those days when people purchased a product or subscribed to service just by word of mouth.

The markets are digitally upgraded and it is now demanding for a brand to have a digital presence.

Creating a website and accounts on all major social media platforms is now mandatory for any business.

This not only establishes an online presence but also makes reaching them and providing support easy.

Creating quality content consistently on your registered platforms will give your brand more reach than any offline activity you do.

Starting with Digital content is as simple as opening a savings account. The more the better!

2. Lets you start with a low budget

Traditional marketing activities like advertising in newspapers or organizing an event involve a budget.

The amount of effort from the marketing team is high and it’s hard to track the ROI. On the other hand, Content marketing only requires consistent efforts and good writing skills to succeed.

With so many platforms adapting to the advertising model, publishing quality content without advertising is working great as well.

To put it simply, content marketing saves your money.

3. Helps amplify the reach of your brand

Millions of users are surfing the internet worldwide on a daily basis. There is a large population that can possibly become your customers.

How do you make them turn towards your business? In other words, how do you grab their attention?

Content marketing not only creates awareness about your brand but also makes it reach a variety of people in various digital platforms. Create content that focuses on providing value to your customers.

Once your content starts creating a buzz among your target audience, the road to word of mouth gets closer.

4. Develops the trust factor among the audience

As a business professional, you already know how important it is to be a trustable figure in any industry.

There are a lot of factors that can influence a buyer. But when it comes to making the buying decision, trust is the only factor that moves the needle.

Trust of a generic audience can not be gained in a short span of time.

Just think of this!

The brands of spices you purchase on a monthly basis is now a part of your kitchen. A few may be irreplaceable. These are the brands you trust.

Making your content educational and providing real-life solutions to help your audience is the right way to go.

benefits of content marketing

5. Brings perennial traffic to your blog with evergreen content

According to Ahrefs,

Evergreen content is content that doesn’t go out of date. It revolves around a topic that’s always relevant to readers, regardless of the current news cycle or season.

There is no going back once your evergreen content article starts ranking for your content target keyword.

This is the best way for your audience to discover your brand. Since the content is designed to stay evergreen, so will be your blog traffic.

Thinking out of the box, content research, and providing the best value in your content helps you to gain the trust of your readers.

6. Builds a relationship with your audience

Creating evergreen content provides value to your readers.

This activity, when done consistently, will bring website traffic and also create trust among your readers.

In turn, you will be building an online relationship with your readers who invest their time to read your content.

benefits of content marketing

Be active on Social media platforms. Building a community on a platform like Facebook can give a boost to your traffic and eventually to your business.

7. Lets you engage with your audience on a personal level

benefits of content marketing

A buyer persona is the classification of your ideal customer based on market research and real data about your existing customers.

Once you have classified the personas of your customer, start creating content for all your personas.

This approach is similar to funnel marketing as the different buyer personas are in different stages of the customer journey.

Customer location, behaviour, their choice of content, and research are key factors when defining a customer persona.

8. Brings new visitors

benefits of content marketing

Publishing content on a regular basis will bring in consistent traffic to your website over time.

It is ideal to publish one to three blog posts per week. You might very well create one article for one buyer persona.

If you have also adopted creating content based on the buyer persona, you might be getting a lot of insights from your Google Analytics data as well.

Pro Tip: Focus on the quality of your article.

9. Increases daily visits to your website

The more content you create for your blog, the more will be your traffic.

Since the content you have created is more relevant and helpful to a user, they would be curious to know about the details of your brand.

This makes them land on your website and checks out the information about your company.

The website UI/UX is very important as it takes only seconds for a visitor to judge the image of your brand.

10. Builds authority in your niche

Once you have started creating top quality articles helping different personas of your ideal customer, you will be trusted and accepted as an authority on your niche.

benefits of content marketing

For example, let us consider you are a contact centre software company.

Authoring content about the challenges people face in the call centre industry and offering solutions clearly denotes that you understand your audience.

This will, in turn, make the visitor trust your product/service and establish yourself as an authority.

Pro Tip: The prime aim is to create content that will help the visitor.

Conclusion:

Few brands might state that they have challenges in Content marketing. But let’s face it. How good is a win without a fight!

With the above list for the benefits of content marketing in 2021, we hope you are now ready to build your content marketing strategy.

The questions you need to be asking yourselves is when can you start with content marketing? Which departments should be involved in creating content?

10 Ways to Take Advantage of Technology in Your Business

As a business owner, do you know how to harness the power of modern technology to improve your operations? Keep reading for a few essential tips.

Technology is advancing at a rapid rate, yet many businesses have not figured out how to use it to their advantage.

In this article, we will explore the various ways to use technology to increase your chances of long-term survival in a competitive market.

The brutal reality of the 21st century is that businesses that do not take advantage of technology rarely attain growth, relevance, and customer satisfaction. In other words, a business can measure its growth rate by the technological trends it adopts.

Those that neglect to implement relevant technological tools often die out as they lose their competitive edge and fail to maximize profits and meet customer expectations.

But businesses that embrace these tools experience a revitalization that puts them ahead of competitors. According to Forbes, 55% of companies without the right technology to implement a digital transformation believe they would lose market share in less than a year.

To ensure that this does not happen to you, here are a few ways you can take advantage of technology in your business.

How to Take Advantage of Technology in Your Business:

  1. Lose the office, go remote
  2. Increase your productivity for better outcomes
  3. Video chat and messaging
  4. Communicate faster, securely, and better
  5. Create better marketing campaigns
  6. Consider web-based payments
  7. Streamline accounting processes
  8. Measure user engagement
  9. Get social
  10. Invest in back-up software

1. Lose the Office, Go Remote

It can be expensive to run a business from a physical space. Fortunately, with the internet’s fast and far-reaching arms, you can redirect the money you spend on rent each year to other areas of your business.

Statistically, remote work is less costly but delivers outstanding benefits for both employers and employees. For the former, the proven benefits transcend saving money on rent, furniture, computer devices, and other essentials that make an office space operational.

You would also have access to a larger talent pool and enjoy easier recruitment, streamlined production processes, increased retention, and improved productivity.

If it is possible to coordinate your business operations via the internet, you must consider losing the office.

2. Increase Your Productivity for Better Outcomes

Implementing relevant productivity tools can have a significant impact on your profits and business as a whole.

Start with time-tracking software to measure your team’s input. When done efficiently, the data can help improve accountability, productivity, and process improvement.

Dictation software, project management, and task management tools can streamline processes and help you stay on top of your operations.

You can also consider a cloud-based storage solution, such as Google Drive, that allows you to save files online and access them anywhere from internet-enabled devices.

For email management, automate email routines to make it easier to stay on top of your correspondence.

3. Video Chat and Messaging

Effective communication plays an integral role in running a remote office successfully. Use Zoom, Skype, or other secure video conferencing tools to hold meetings with your team. It beats spending so much time and energy to organize in-person meetings.

For instant messaging, consider Slack, a web-based communication tool for businesses. Your team can log in from anywhere in the world, as well as have the flexibility to come and go as they please without losing important updates.

The technological tools that facilitate communication can change how you coordinate and organize your operations. It can also bring you closer to your team and make you a hands-on leader.

4. Communicate Faster, Securely, and Better

The advancements in technology have made traditional phones incompatible with businesses. Landlines and personal phones do not have the capacity to handle voice correspondence within and around your business. That is where Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) comes in.

When you make the switch to VoIP, you stand to enjoy lower costs and increased accessibility. You would also have higher scalability, clearer voice quality, and complete portability.

VoIPs help businesses manage leads and existing clients as well as have better flexibility with softphones. In most cases, it supports multitasking, contact management, reminders, and has advanced features for all teams, big and small.

5. Create Better Marketing Campaigns

A common goal of most businesses is to maximize profits and gain exposure. Fortunately, a well-strategized marketing plan can drive traffic to your products and services and help you attain that goal.

In the age of advanced technology, you no longer have to post flyers around the neighborhood or buy ads on TV, newspapers, and magazines. Start with marketing planning software and harness the power of social media platforms to tell people about your business.

Build a community by creating a blog. To reach your target audience, collect email addresses with an opt-in form. You can also use video marketing to reach potential clients and promote your business with a website.

6. Consider Web-Based Payments

One of the top benefits of using technology is having access to simple, yet completely secure web-based payment systems like PayPal, Skrill, or Stripe. Bank wire transfers are not always ideal as it can be time-consuming and may require going to the bank or calling an operator for assistance.

If you work primarily with vendors, outsource work to freelancers, or have contractual employees abroad, you must consider online payment systems. They allow you to send encrypted transfers that can be completed within minutes.

Web-based payments are flexible and enable businesses to offer a variety of payment options for customers.

7. Streamline Accounting Processes

Technology is on a mission to revolutionize our world, and for the most part, it is achieving success on all levels. With word processing tools and specialized accounting software, businesses can still be fully functional and their financials automated.

This helps accountants to redirect their attention to the issues that matter most as accounting software tools can handle simple tasks with little to no margin of error.

Accounting software has also proven to be very beneficial to small businesses that cannot afford full-time accountants. Simple tasks such as invoicing and tracking payments can be done with ease, at any time of the day.

8. Measure User Engagement

Who is your target audience? How many visitors visit your website? How long do they spend on your website? What type of content does your target audience enjoy?

Google Analytics is one of the best tools that track and provide accurate data about your website traffic. It also helps to measure user engagement effectively.

Small and medium-sized companies can use this nifty technological tool to analyze user readership and interpret them to improve conversions.

Welcome to Google Analytics

For social media, take advantage of the in-built analytics tool to see the location of your audience, their peak periods on social media, and collect other relevant data on demographics.

9. Get Social

Every business must have a social media presence. If you are unsure about which social media platform would be ideal for your business, start with Twitter. The limited 140 characters per post will help you publish direct, yet engaging messages to an audience for free.

It will allow you to craft a business identity that communicates your brand ethos and personality. This is critical since it helps to get the attention of your target audience.

Since Twitter allows direct communication between two people, use it to deliver exceptional customer service. You can also use it to run polls, share links to relevant resources, promote products and services, all of which will help you interact better with your audience.

10. Invest in Back-Up Software

Remote working and telecommuting mean you would run a paperless operation. While it is environmentally-conscious and a great way to save money on rent on office supplies, there is a risk of losing files.

This is why you should invest in a back-up system to ensure the safety and security of private files. With this system in place, you would never worry about data loss and data breach again.

You can also access the contents of your cloud, download data, and make relevant updates. If you invest in back-up software, be mindful of hackers and speak to your data storage provider about any concerns you may have.

Gain Competitive Advantage With the Best Technological Tools

Technology will continue to impact and alter our world. It is up to you to take advantage of its impact and tools to improve your business.

As a business owner looking to maximize profits and convert leads, you must analyze your business and find the right tools that will help streamline operations and increase productivity.

By taking this step, you will make conscious decisions that will prove beneficial to the future of your business.

How Technology Can Help

Source

The benefits of adopting technological trends for your business are many. A few include the opportunity to meet customers’ needs and collaborate better with your team. It also enables you to target audience segments effectively and improve work-life balance.

Technology also delivers improved flexibility, reduction of human error, and streamlines production processes.

As you explore the ways you can take advantage of your business, we hope you remember that technology changes so fast. What may be relevant today may have little significance tomorrow. So, stay on top of the trends that are relevant to your business.

How To Attract Customers Online Through Content Marketing

https://www.instagram.com/tv/BwGrEj2gXQV/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

At any point in time, there’s just about 3% of customers in the market that are ready to buy right now.

In this article, we’ll be sharing with you how you can capture a wider range of customers for your business.

Before we dig in, as a foundation, here’s something you need to understand:

In attracting customers online, the principle is this: First give before you receive.

In each stage of the buyer’s journey, the idea is to provide value upfront to your potential customers.

To explain this, we’ll use an example of how a website design company will attract customers.

1. Attracting customers at the Awareness Stage

The Awareness Stage is the point where a person is trying to define what exactly their problem is.

At this stage, a service provider should help the customer understand what that problem is.

For a web design company, this would mean creating content with topics such as:

  • 10 Mistakes Business Owners Make on their Website, or
  • 7 Reasons why you’re not Getting Customers from your Website

These are educative resources (such as blog posts or videos) that will help a potential customer understand what their problem is.

2. Attracting customers at the Consideration Stage

The Consideration Stage is the point where the customer is contemplating possible solutions.

At this stage, the service provider should provide the customer with possible solutions to their problem.

This proves that the service provider is a “trusted authority”, and is able to help them.

Continuing with the example above, the website design company should provide resources such as:

  • A FREE checklist on the different things your website must have to convert customers online

3. Attracting customers at the Decision Stage

The Decision Stage is where the person has fully defined their problem, and is actively searching for a service provider.

At this stage, the service provider should provide content that compels the customer to choose them.

The website design company in our example should provide content such as:

  • Case studies
  • Testimonials
  • Product comparison
  • Request for free consultation
  • Demo

The key to attracting customers is to provide the right content at the right time.

  • A person in the awareness stage isn’t necessarily interested in seeing testimonials and case studies;
  • A person in the decision stage is not interested in reading more articles.

You need to meet people at the different stages of the buyer’s journey, based on the problem they are trying to solve at that stage.

The kind of content you provide may be videos, blog posts, or downloadable resources. Just make sure you are providing “value”.

This approach solidifies the customer’s perception that you are a trusted authority, and that you are capable of solving their problem.

Your Action Point

Think about who your customers are, and the kind of content or resources that they will need at the Awareness, Consideration and Decision stages of the client’s journey.

How Much Does It Cost to Build a Website in Nigeria in 2021?

How much does it cost to build a website in Nigeria?” It is a question that I’m asked quite often by potential clients. I have addressed it here for the benefit of all.

Building a website is like building a house. The type of building you construct depends on several factors, e.g. your budget, taste, the quality of your building materials.

So in this article, we’ll list few items to add to your budget. However, it is important to note that the cost of building a website depends on the complexity of its implementation. For example, a simple 5-page business website will usually cost much less to build compared to web applications like eCommerce websites, a social network sites, or betting websites.

This means that there is no fixed cost for building a website. The cost of building websites vary widely. One may cost 100,000 Naira ($280) to build while another could cost up to $1 billion.

When building your website, you need to consider several factors. Let us look at what goes into the cost of building a website in Nigeria.

1. Cost of Web Hosting & Domain Name

A website needs to be hosted on a server connected to the internet. You need to pay a web hosting service to house your website on the web.

You can also buy your own server and run things in-house, however this is very expensive and only recommended when absolutely necessary.

For most people securing the services of a web hosting company is the only way to go as it is more cost effective. Payment is billed monthly but you can also pay every six months or annually.

Web hosting is a recurrent cost. Your web designer may incorporate the hosting cost for the first year in the initial cost of designing the website. So, you have to budget for hosting every year.

What you pay for a website depends on the resource requirement of the website like number of expected visitors, CPU usage, RAM requirement, etc. For example, hosting this blog costs around $503 per year (about ₦191,000) including cost of CDN.

2. Cost of Content Creation

Before the actual design of the website, you need to think long and hard about why you want to build the website. This will enable you determine what you want to share with the world.

Do not expect the web designer to tell your story for you. You know your business better than anyone else. So, you should be some how involved in the process.

Though, you know your business well, you may need a professional copywriter to help craft a compelling message. Depending on what you need, you could get a copywriter for as little as $5 per hour to over $1000 per hour.

In Nigeria, you could get a copy written for 5000 Naira to 50,000 Naira per page, depending on what you want and the level of skills required.

However, sometimes, when building a website (especially business/company websites), the web designer will incorporate the cost of copywriting in the quote.

Content creation also include the media that will be on the website like the logo, images, animations, and videos. You may need to hire professionals to help you out with some these services or you could rely on your web designer to handle them at a cost.

When you get a quote from your web designer, it is a good idea to find out if content creation is included in the cost and if yes which ones.

However, you need to be involved in the process. You need to supply materials needed for the content creation. There may also be a need to interview you to understand your business. This will enable the copywriter to write a more compelling message.

Here are a summary estimate of cost of content creation

  • Copywriting – $10 to $1000 (per page)
  • Logo Design – $20 to $300
  • Marketing Video – $10 to $1000
  • Animation Videos – $20 to $5000

3. Cost of the Web Design Work

A Web Designer

If you are using a web designer, you should have to budget for the cost of the web design service. If you do not have a logo already, you also need to budget for a logo design.

This can be done for a fee by the web designer or you can pay a graphic designer to design a logo for your website.

Then you need some initial content on your website. The web designer can do this for you or you can do it yourself, or you can employ a copywriter or/and an SEO consultant to write compelling web copies for your website that will be search engine friendly and draw sales to your business.

An SEO will also ensure that the structure and layout of your website is search engine friendly as well as help you develop strategies that will increase website traffic.

Some plug-ins may also be required to add some unique features you are demanding. So, the more features you want on your business website the steeper the cost of design and development.

Note that a web designer will have in his team or experts network, professionals who can help in all the components of web design enumerated here. So, you can rely on your web designer for these services.

Cost of web design for a standard 5-page website can range from $500 to $5,000. In Nigeria designing a 5-page business website should cost you from 350,000 Naira.

4. Cost of Website Promotion

This one is ignored by most businesses. Some businesses think that once they design a website, the millions of people on the internet will just start trooping in.

Well, as at September 2020 there were at least 5.29 billion pages in the indexed web according to worldwidewebsize.com. All these pages are seeking the attention of the 4.5 billion people who currently have internet access according to internetworldstats.com.

You need to allocate some budget for website promotion. For example, you can use search marketing to promote your new website on search engines (like Google Adwords).

You can also use social media marketing to promote your website on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp. You can pay an SEO and/or SMM consultants to help with these. Offline promotions are not out of place.

You should also allocate money to update your business cards and other printed materials to include your new website. This simply depends on your budget.

You can decide to ignore it completely, but it could be a big mistake. We recommend allocating at least $100 (45,000 Naira) per month to this cost component.

The beauty of online promotions is that you can easily track performance. This will enable you experiment to see what works and what doesn’t.

5. Cost of Website Management & Maintenance

Maintenance

This is another cost component ignored by some businesses. Building a website is not a one-off thing; you need to allocate money for its management and maintenance.

You need to connect your offline business to your website. So, any change in your business like new products, price updates, job vacancies, business expansion, etc should be reflected on your website.

This also means that after the initial web design you still need to update your website when necessary. You can do this yourself, employ someone else to do it for you, or outsource the service to the web designer or a copywriter.

If your website includes a blog, you may even need updates more often. Similarly, you can employ the web designer, a blogger or a copywriter to help out, or you can do it in-house.

A website at some point will need to be redesigned or upgraded. For example, you can start with a static website, but with plans to upgrade to a more versatile website with CMS in some months or years. You may just want to change the layout or structure to reflect your new brand status.

6. Cost of SEO

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is part of the ongoing maintenance of your website. I decided to give it its own heading to emphasis its importance.

It is all about making your website rank better on search engines like Google. SEO is one of the most important ways to drive traffic and visitors to your website.

SEO is a recurrent cost. It cost you anywhere between $250 to $10,000 monthly to get SEO services. Part of the services will include regular SEO Audit, as well as technical SEOlink building, and keyword research.

So, What is the Cost of Building Websites

I am sure you came here looking for a specific price, but the cost of building websites differ widely as each website is unique in its own way. While one may cost $1000 dollars, another may cost $3000.

My recommendation if you are planning to build a website is that you allocate at least $300 for the initial design and $250 per year for annual maintenance. Or if you are in Nigeria, ₦150,000 for initial design work and ₦50,000 annual maintenance cost.

The cost guideline above is for the simplest of websites. If you want to add some bells and whistles, be ready to pay more.

Note that the annual maintenance cost will not include items like marketing, SEO, content updates, etc

Note that these are the rock bottom prices for the most basic of websites in 2021. The actual cost will depend on the type of hosting your website requires and the skill level of the professionals you wish to engage in the project.

5 Compelling Reasons Why Your Website Needs SEO In 2021

If your website is not optimized for search engines, you might be missing out on so many potential customers who are constantly searching for your product or service online.

For you to have a website, that means you want traffic, and you probably want to make sales on your site. But if you are not optimizing your website for search engines, how will it be easy for your potential audience to find you? There is no way they are going to the last page of your keyword search (I wouldn’t either, would you?).

According to Techjury, 93% of online experiences begin with a search engine.

Interested in knowing why your website needs SEO? Then this article is just for you! I’ll be sharing 5 compelling reasons why your website needs SEO.

Let’s begin!

1. Earn more traffic

One of the compelling reasons you need to optimize your website is to increase the number of people who visit your website.

Having a website means you want to be seen and SEO helps you do just that. It improves your website’s ranking in search engine results.

And higher search engine rankings result in more traffic, more leads, and higher sales and conversions.

2. Builds credibility & trust

When your page ranks organically on the first page of a search engine it automatically builds your audience’s credibility and trust in your brand and this is very good for business.

This can also position your brand or business as a thought leader in your industry.

3. SEO is cost-effective

Without a doubt, Search Engine Optimization is one of the most cost-effective marketing strategies today.

It enables you to target people who are seeking or are interested in your products and services on the internet.

It should be noted that SEO is complementary to other marketing strategies and should work hand-in-hand with them.

SEO is an organic approach to generate traffic to a website, it may take time but it is authentic compared to search engine ads (PPC).

4. Stay ahead of competitors

SEO can put you ahead of competitors.

Take for instance two websites that are offering the same service (Website A & B), Website A is optimized for search engines while Website B isn’t. Who is more likely to make more sales and garner more traffic to their website? Yes, Website A.

SEO is an aspect of digital marketing your business mustn’t ignore.

5. SEO improves user experience

There is a common misconception that SEO is only about links and keywords, this is false.

Good SEO practices help you improve the user experience of your website.

Making your user have a great experience on your website is very important. It seeks to answer questions like:

Is your website fast to load pages? Is it secure? Is it easy to navigate? Do you have quality content that engages your users? etc.

Conclusion

Without SEO, your marketing efforts could go in vain.

To enable your business to thrive in this time and age, it is important your website is optimized for search engines. SEO will garner you more website visits which will turn into having reliable leads.
